I'm finally back for good from camp...*laugh* what an experience! Now i can hear flushing toilets and have hot showers for good ^^. So many things happened at camp. I met so many wonderful and interesting ppl. My assigned girls in both sessions were so sweet and unique in their own way. I definitely learned how to interact w/ other ppl that i normally wouldn't hang out w/...i.e. when you grow annoyed, agitated, impatient w/ ppl. Had an adventure in both sessions. First session i was forced to save a near drowning victim whom i had been watching for some time. She reduced my life by a mere 2 years by nearly giving me a heart attack. Honestly, i have never really been that scared in my life for someone...she was playing w/ her friends 5 min. later while i was sitting on the dock w/ my heart still pumping like crazy. This session, there was a Humongous storm last Tues. and my unit was out on an outtrip to Spi- I. It started to pour w/ heavy rain and a Very loud thunderstorm w/ all the works...we were supposed to leave the island and go back to camp that morning. We were stranded on the island for an extra 3 hours! Talk about adrenaline rush, i just got in survival mode, got all the girls to stay in one tent, me and another counsellor packed the rest of our baggage Literally DrEnChEd to the core trying to calm the girls, and to wait for a motorboat to rescue us. We later had to retrieve the canoes that we had left on the island in our rush to head back to mainland :P When our heroes w/ the motorboat came we were prolly back at the camp in 2 min flat...it was that fast. That was one Nice boat...must have cost and arm to buy it...VeRy cool. Now i have so much on my mind to do b/f uni starts. Driving test- cross fingers i pass the first time, hang out w/ friends, go to b-day parties, PACK for Queen's, attend my Red Cross/ LSS instructor course- major workload there b/f i go, read one more book from Cornwell, :P so much to do and prepare/ think about. Ah! But i'm glad to be back home. Thank you Lord for everything You have taught and given to me...i love You.
