my room has been finally set up =) A view of my front desk area...

My summer has been quite an experience...all the oppurtunities that God has given me...i've been blessed. I was able to find a job quite quickly...working several retirement homes as a psw...not exactly the most glamourous job...but i learned alot about my profession just fr/ working there alongside the nurses. It has made me humble in realizing the fact that i hv alot of things that other ppl don't...things i take for granted each day...the fact that i can get up and walk around myself...that i'm able to dress up and eat food myself...even go to the wshrm myself =P I'm looking forward to using the knowledge and skills that i learned this summer in my studies =) I spent some time w/ friends...and those memories will be stored forever in my mind...lol...fr/ the downright silly ones...to the serious ones. I'm truly grateful for the friends that i hv.
Altho it took some time to get used to living back at home again...i've had a great time w/ my family...i've learned to treasure the times i spend eating meals together as a family...and going on trips together. I'm so grateful for each and every member of my family...no words can best describe it.
Somebody told me that they enjoyed reading my sermon notes...so i'll try to put one in each entry =) The Journey of Faith- Genesis 12:1-9:
*Your journey of faith BEGINS when you step out on the PROMISES of God: vers 1-3, (1) 1st promise- promise land, (2) 2nd promise- make you into a great nation, (3) 3rd promise- make His name great (Abram); everybody will be blessed through Him, God asked Abram to uproot his life and go where God led him...Putting his feet in faith. Romans 1:5, Hebrews 11:8, Faith and obedience.
*Your journey of faith is STRENGTHENED as you listen to the WORD of God: vers 4-7, Lord appears to him and speaks to him; walk by faith, not by light.
*Your journey of faith DEEPENS as you offer up YOUR WORSHIP to God: vers 7-8, built and altar; call on the name of the Lord; be a worshipper; He is worthy, sacrifices of praise to Him.
*Your journey of faith makes your STORY part of God's larger STORY: vers 8-9, his walk of faith became part of His story; Galatians 3:16.
